CHARACTER DESIGN
The character designs are inspired by the relationship between dolphins and tuna in purse‑seine fishing—a common practice in the Eastern Tropical Pacific in which non–dolphin-safe vessels deliberately target and encircle dolphin pods. Because tuna often swim beneath dolphins, fishers use the dolphins’ presence to locate and catch the tuna.

STORYBOARD
A dense school of tuna swirls through the water, forming a tightly packed bait ball that moves as one. Two dolphins swim behind the school of tuna, trying to hunt them. As the camera pulls back, the hunt is slowly revealed to sit within a dark, curved space that hints at lips. The two dolphins create a spiralling sand/mud/bubble‑net hunt around the tuna. The dolphins gradually contract the 'net', narrowing the range of the tuna bait ball to make hunting easier. As the camera pulls further back, the space turns into a human mouth, with the area between the lips looking like an “ocean pool.” The human mouth slowly closes around the scene, showing that the confident predator is itself enclosed within a larger human food chain.
